Rich is a very rare combination of concept design and joinery excellence. We put off going custom made for a long time due due to my trepidation of first having to find someone who (a) has an ambitious design threshold, i.e is design-proud, and (b) has the agility to understand customer’s tastes even when these are not always technically articulated. Beyond all of this, finding someone who also practices joinery excellence-by-principle felt like a tall order - one I in fact put off for years. We feel so lucky having come across Rich, because he not only ticks off all of the above, but he exceeded even our most ambitious expectations. It’s amazing how this thoroughness transforms a house into a home.

Richard hand made a bespoke kitchen when were having extensive building work. Richard is a perfectionist and doesn’t stop until is totally happy with his finish. Works under the pressure of having other workmen around him during the work. I would highly recommend him for any kitchen or furniture you need making.

I wanted a home office, with plenty of built-in storage, as well as space for my laptop, multiple screens, and books. The intended area was tremendously awkward, a blend of staircases, odd angles and skewed walls, reflecting the age of the building. After discussing the project with Richard and the Made By 68 team, their solution proved to be precisely what I wanted. Through intelligent utilisation of the available space, Richard's team managed to incorporate all the storage and work areas I needed, along with additional details such as A3 printer drawer, hidden storage, built-in lighting and cable tracking. The quality of the finish, coupled with the attention to detail, is genuinely impressive. The overall effect conveys simplicity, elegance, and functionality. It's simply perfect.

Richard is brilliant. He's done various work for us - both big and small - from fitting our kitchen (including bespoke shelving and larder) to making bespoke shelving, a bath panel - the list goes on and on and there is no end to his talents.
